Ebon Jaguar Prime "Bast"

The Ebon Jaguar is a 65-ton OmniMech constructed by Clan Smoke Jaguar to address problems with the earlier Hellbringer OmniMech. One of the latest Clan OmniMechs introduced shortly before Operation REVIVAL in 3049, the ’Mech had only just begun to proliferate through the Smoke Jaguar touman by the time the invasion began. In the Battle of Luthien against the Draconis Combine, its ability to take damage and continue to fight mostly unimpeded led to it acquiring the Inner Sphere reporting name of "Cauldron-Born", a name that spread even to other Clans that hadn't encountered it yet. The primary configuration carries a Gauss rifle, an LB 5-X autocannon, an SRM-2 rack, an LRM-10 rack, and a single ER medium laser, giving it a variety of engagement ranges.
