She was born mere days before the Crystal Fair. She was named Crescent after one of Ratchet's ancestors, her middle name honors Bloom's mother and she keeps the female last name of the family. Sadly before Crescent would be 2 years old, her parents would separate, leaving the young filly with a sense of confusion as her birth father returned to Trottingham and she and her mother remained in the Crystal Empire.
It would be around when she turned three that her mother met her soon to be stepfather, Thicket the deer. He would love and care for the filly as if she were his own. And a year later the two would have a fawn named Maple. Crescent loved her little sister and would always be sure to stand up for her if she was ever being teased, the two of them would get into tons of mischief growing up. After a few years Crescent showed a strong affinity for potion making, even making a habit of rummaging through Bloom's garden to mixes things in bottles that she found, but she was always inspired by the stories of the ponies that fought against the evils of Equestria.
Growing up in the crystal empire and White Tail Woods she got to explore many different environments, meant that she was quite knowledgeable of the traditions of old and new; of course her favorite being Hearth's warming day because of the presents. On around her 7th birthday she even earned her Cutiemark in potion making. From then on she helped the family business by making potions and even enchanted potions since she was discovered to be like her father. The rest of her foalhood was very normal.
Around her 18th birthday she applied for the Crystal Guard, and is soon to maybe join their ranks. Eventually succeeding to join the ranks to the crystal guard. On her 20th birthday she moved out, taking a temporary leave from the guard to travel the wide land of Equestria, discovering all the new things about the world that existed outside the very conservative boundaries of the Crystal Empire, but she would soon return to resume her post as part of the Crystal Guard.
