After running with Millie, I decided to run with the vanilla Tails for the purposes of comparison. Neither of these runs are better than the slowest Tails run on the leaderboard persently, but I can fix that if I learn some new tech and find better routes to use that tech. As things are, I had only the fundamentals of the game to work on, and my Tails is a bit slower than my BluEyes.
I expect to find, in the future, that an optimized BluEyes run will be faster than an optimized Tails run, but the best Tails runners are significantly faster than me either way.
Also, I still hate fighting Fang. The Egg Colosseum in Castle Eggman Zone Act 3 is annoying for different reasons, but at least that one is predictable. There's nothing consistent about Fang's battle.
