While I do see your point (and don't really disagree), for most western outlooks "hive-like, where you're a cog in the machine. The machine is important, not it's part and they -and you- are disposable and replaceable" are kept for the bad guys only.

My point were aimed at a hive-society where you're just a drone that no one really cares about you at large, where you're less of an individual and most of a tool
